Community Guidelines

We created quiply to help people have their voices heard in the workplace. People want to do a great job and they want their companies to succeed. But if they're an individual contributor, they often have no way to share their opinions within the company and have their voices heard without fear of consequences. We believe that a trusted platform that enables people to find and plug into relevant anonymous and authentic conversations about their workplace, to anonymously share workplace experiences, to make their opinions known, to provide feedback on their managers, company executives and the company itself, and to engage in relevant conversations easily and quickly is a valuable resource for the workplace. Registered users of the service will be able to see all content and take it into account when they are making job and/or career decisions.

The intent of this document is to clarify what we consider to be acceptable use of the quiply iPhone mobile app ("quiply", "we" or "us"), (the "Site") and other applications (those applications together with the iPhone mobile app and the Site, constitute the "Service").

Please use the following guidelines to help us create a helpful, candid and balanced community.


Be authentic – We encourage open, honest feedback and reviews that are based on direct engagement and a real working relationship with the person being reviewed. Be authentic and original with your posts. Remember that your posts will be completely anonymous, so speak freely. Even quiply will not know who has posted the material. However, we will remove content if we have evidence that a user was incentivized to leave the content. Please submit only one review per reviewed coworker/manager during a six month period.

Stay balanced – We believe there's something positive about every employee in the workplace, and that even the best employees have areas where they can continue to improve. So, we encourage you to think about reviews from a variety of perspectives and ensure your posts are balanced.

Be constructive, considerate and positive – We encourage healthy, respectful, positive and constructive input on your managers and coworkers. Reviews that include malicious or personal attacks will be removed.

Stay calm – Talking about managers and coworkers can be emotional for some of us, but please don't submit reviews that include profanity, obscenities or discriminatory language. We will reject reviews that include accusations of criminal activity or threats of violence. (General discussions of workplace misconduct are allowed.)

Help others – quiply is a service for anonymously sharing information that helps others. Please be responsible and use anonymity for good. Please don’t submit reviews that are very specific to your personal situation, or are not useful or meaningful to others in the community. Content meant as an advertisement or containing a web link will be removed.

Keep your secrets – There is a difference between providing insight and insider information. Don’t submit reviews that reveal trade secrets or confidential, internal company information. Don’t identify yourself or include any contact information (about yourself or others) in your posts.

Report bad behavior – We rely on you, our users, to keep quiply a safe and constructive platform for quality content. If there is something you see that is not in keeping with the spirit of quiply, then please inform us as soon as possible. Contacting us directly is the easiest and fastest way to let us know if you see something that violates our guidelines. We review all content that’s flagged to us, and if necessary, we’ll ban posts that aren’t adhering to our guidelines.


We recognize that with anonymity comes responsibility. So we take a strong stance on content that we believe harms others or the community, as outlined below.

Don't post threats – Safety is a very high priority at quiply. We will delete content if we perceive it contains a risk of harm to others. Do not threaten others, organize acts of violence, or recruit for or support organizations with a record of violent criminal or terrorist activity on quiply. We also prohibit organizing vandalism or theft on our site.

Don't bully or harass – quiply takes a hard line on bullying and harassment. We allow users to speak broadly on people and companies, but will act on any abusive behavior directed at private individuals when it comes to our attention.

Don't post hate speech – quiply does not allow hate speech and other objectionable content that is unlawful, defamatory and fraudulent. We anticipate that people will use our service to challenge institutions, events, beliefs, ideas, and practices, but we strictly forbid attacks on other people based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability or medical condition. If we have reason to believe that a particular statement is defamatory (a court order, for example), we will remove that statement.

Don't post pornographic or obscene content – We have a policy against sexually explicit, pornographic and obscene content, and may impose limitations or remove it. Accounts that regularly post sexually explicit, pornographic or obscene content will be suspended.

Don't post other people's private information – Users may not post other people’s personally identifying information or confidential information, including but not limited to credit card numbers, Social Security Numbers, and driver’s and other license numbers. You may not post information such as other people’s passwords, usernames, phone numbers, bank account information, addresses and e-mail addresses.

Don't share or encourage self-harm – quiply takes self-harm by people using our site seriously. We remove promotion or encouragement of any self-harm behaviors, including self-mutilation, eating disorders and drug abuse.

Don’t engage in copyright and trademark infringement – Respect the copyrights and trademarks of others. Using copyrighted material does not constitute infringement in all cases. In general, however, users should be careful when using copyrighted content without the permission of those who created it. If you aren’t authorized to use someone else’s copyrighted or trademarked work (either expressly or by legal exceptions and limitations like 'fair use'), don’t. It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement as per our Terms of Service and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Don't post spam – We take the security of our users seriously and work to prevent attempts to compromise our members accounts. Users that do not publish meaningful content, use deceptive means to generate traffic or revenue, or whose primary purpose is affiliate marketing, will be suspended.

Don't abuse the service – Don’t attempt unauthorized use of, disruption of, or exploitation of quiply, or the quiply Service, or otherwise abuse quiply’s resources.

Don’t engage in illegal use – The Service may not be used for illegal purposes or behavior, including fraud, phishing, or illegally inciting violence. Examples of this include using the Service for fraudulent purposes or operating a phishing site (used to obtain account and password information).

Account Termination

If we conclude that you are violating these policies, your posts may be deleted. If we conclude that you have engaged in an ongoing and repeated pattern of violating these policies, we may suspend or block your account. We do our best to ensure fair outcomes, but in all cases we reserve the right to suspend accounts or remove content, without notice, for any reason, but particularly to protect our users, community, services or infrastructure. We reserve the right to enforce, or not enforce, these policies at our sole discretion, and these policies do not create a duty or contractual obligation for us to act in any particular manner. We also reserve the right to amend these policies.
